Almond trees are native to Iran and surrounding countries and come within the Prunus amygdalus genus. These deciduous trees are 13–33 ft in height having 8-13 cm long leaves. The flowers of these trees are ehite to pale pink and are the main source of nectar for the bees. Almond usually grows in warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
